Unique Computer Concepts, Inc. was founded in 1991 to help design and implement a group health insurance claims conversion system for McDonnell Douglas Information Systems (MDIS) and Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS) as it acquired MDIS. It started as a consulting firm for software running on the WANG midrange computing platform and Personal Computers (PC).
Over the years, many contracts have been completed in the non-profit, public, and private sectors. With a focus on the Insurance vertical but expanding to Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and Financial Technology with a focus on security.
Developing roots in Object object-oriented technology and foundational design practices using Unified Model Language (UML) many successful projects were delivered. From COBOL to C# or ASP.Net to REACT, many technologies have been and are used. Practicing many Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes from Waterfall to Agile.
The bottom line has always been to Define, Design, Develop, and Delivery quality software.
